Burhani Designs is a Mumbai-based interior design studio founded in 2024 by Architect Hatim Nasikwala. We work across residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces — designing environments that are as functional as they are felt.
We believe design is not decoration. It is decision-making. Every spatial choice we make is grounded in a single question: Does this solve something for the person who lives or works here?
The Mind Behind the Studio

Hatim Nasikwala
Over the course of his career of 15 years, he collaborated with some of India’s most respected architectural practices — working on intimate residences to large-scale commercial and hospitality developments.
His work has taken him across geographies, with clients spread across multiple countries, each with a different way of living, different ideas of comfort, and different definitions of home.
What has stayed constant through all of it is his approach: design for people. Understand how someone wakes up, works, unwinds, entertains — and then build a space around that. Not the other way around.
Hatim’s Mantra: “Good design should solve a problem. If it looks good but doesn’t work, it isn’t finished yet.”
